An Update From Us Regarding COVID 19
As your child’s healthcare clinicians, we continue to work closely with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Georgia Department of Public Health and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta to stay up to date with the latest Coronavirus information and guidance.
It is of utmost importance that we do everything possible to keep your family and our staff safe. Please be sure to note the following safety procedures prior to coming in for your appointment:
- We require that you and your child (2 years of age and older) wear a mask when entering our facility. If you do not have a mask, we have some available for purchase, with all proceeds going to charity.
- We ask that you check in online and wait in your car when coming for appointments. Call (404) 446-4726 when you arrive or text us from your online check in link and our staff will let you know when your room is ready, so that you may enter the office.
- We ask that one parent accompany the child for their appointment when possible. We also ask to refrain from bringing siblings that are not scheduled for an appointment. This helps us limit the number of people coming in and out of our office.
- Our staff continues to have their temperature checked twice daily as well as screenings for any additional symptoms of illness. All staff is required to wear a mask in all public-facing areas.
We continue to carefully assess what is best for our patients and families. Most recently, we have reverted office hours back to our pre-pandemic extended day schedule. Our afternoon hours are reserved primarily for ill children, in order to continue best practice by keeping well and sick children separate. If your child has fever, cough, shortness of breath or vomiting, please inform our office staff when you call and we will help determine what kind of visit is best. We also continue to offer daily televisit (TeleMedicine) appointments.
Children’s Healthcare is now offering Coronavirus testing of symptomatic and asymptomatic children with a referral from your clinician. Please do not go to CHOA directly for testing. If you think your child needs a test, call us and we will discuss your unique situation and refer if appropriate.
