Policy Update: Vaccine Policy Update - Protecting the Health of All Our Patients
With the recent rise in vaccine-preventable illnesses in our community and across the country, we are taking additional steps to help keep all of our patients, families, and staff safe. We have changed our Vaccine Policy to reflect the increase in illnesses.
Effective Monday, December 29th, children who are unimmunized or under-immunized will be required wear a mask (ages 2 and older) while in the office.
This policy helps protect vulnerable patients—such as newborns, infants too young to be fully vaccinated, and those with weakened immune systems—who rely on the safety of our shared environment.
At Intown Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine, we value every family’s trust and partnership in caring for their children. We respect that families make individual decisions regarding vaccination, and we continue to accept patients who follow alternate or delayed vaccine schedules.
We understand that this may be an adjustment for some families, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we continue to provide compassionate, high-quality care for every child in our practice.
If you have questions about this policy or would like to discuss vaccination options, please do not hesitate to reach out to your child’s clinician.
