Dr. Alexis is from Montgomery, Alabama, and has been in Atlanta for the last eight years. She joined Intown Pediatrics in November 2022, but she was familiar with the practice. She completed two clinical rotations with Intown in 2021 for eight months. Dr. Alexis felt right at home as soon as she started and is thrilled to officially call Intown home.
Dr. Alexis graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Florida in 2017. She started her nursing career in the Mother/Baby unit at Emory University Hospital at Midtown. She then transferred to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for the last seven years. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2022 with a dual focus on primary care and acute care. She recently earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in August 2024 with a dissertation on “The Impact of Music Therapy Education in the NICU.”
Dr. Alexis loves working in primary care because of the long-lasting connections with children and families. She enjoys reading, traveling, exploring Atlanta, hiking, trying new restaurants, movies, and music concerts in her free time.
